Elderly LUV is a senior citizens program by Positive Vibes Community Group led up by director Aquarius Foster. LUV stands Loved, Understood and Valued. Local teachers, students, parents, and principals came together and made homemade Holiday Cards for local seniors.
The great thing about this project was seeing the excitement it gave the youth. They really took pride in putting a smile on the senior citizens faces. They even challenged each other to make the best looking card.
In so many occasions our elders who paved the way for us get left out and forgot about. So Positive Vibes decided to do something about it. We hope to keep this program going for a long time.
When the seniors received their cards, they were overwhelmed with emotion that local community members cared enough to take the time and make hand crafted cards for them.
