Coach Lenny Mazzola Speaking With The Youth After Practice
This Fall Millville Babe Ruth is doing something great! They have been hosting free baseball clinics/trainings on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-8:30pm. It's been a great experience for all the youth involved. Players have been able to link up for baseball, make new friends and pick up some new tips and tricks to help their game. Coach Lenny and others really take the time to show the players how to play the game correctly. As they play and train you can see the joy on all of the players faces. It is so cool to see kids outside picking up the sport of baseball!

One of the biggest takeaways from this baseball experience is players get to try many other positions to see if they like it, can master it and hopefully give them more opportunities in the sport for playing time. Its absolutely no pressure each player gets to learn at their own pace. The more experienced players help coach up their peers as well. I believe that is a great thing because it builds comradery, leadership skills and gives them coaching experience at a very young age.
Our area gets hit so hard with negativity, that It's good to see Millville Babe Ruth giving back to keep our youth out of trouble and involved in positive things. The mixture at each session has been diverse, positive and fun. Coach Lenny always reminds them at the end of each session to focus, be good and keep their grades up.
